Announcing Billy Walker as Head Coach
We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Head Coach, Billy Walker.
Coach Walker is committed to laying down a strong foundation with both his enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the game as Thunder embark upon a new era after Coach and club legend Ian Ellis retired at the end of last season.
Billy brings with him a successful 13 year playing career which began with the London Olympians and ended with Thunder where he was part of our 2017 squad which went undefeated in the regular season with a 10-0 record.
Here’s what Coach Walker had to say on his new role:
“Thunder has been a big part of my life for a number of years now and I’m proud to be the one to start the rebuild of this great club. I understand I have huge shoes to fill and respect the great history and the people that came before me. Time to create more memories and to strengthen the Thunder Family”.
